I have seen this on tv programs various times, but never knew it to be a true ”condition”... thanks for sharing.

Sleep so well, it’s a crime, eh?

These disorders are not indicative of psychological problems.

This activity takes place in-between the dreamy state and half-conscious state. That’s not very uncommon, nor something special as well. Thanks for the two new terms I never knew- sexsomnia” or “sleepsex”. I don’t think sex in sleep is a psychological problems. I doubt if one can feel the excitement here.

OMG, We still have a long way to go to understand the mind and body of a human being.
Btw, ”they found that people—mostly men—sometimes masturbate, initiate sex with a partner and reach orgasm during sleep.” Does this mean that it is gender based problem?

A few years back there was a huge issue here in my little country. Two friends (man and woman) slept together in one bed just for the sake of sleeping.
The woman woke up because the man was having sex with her while he was sleeping.
She went to the police because she felt she was raped. It all went to court and a large number of couples stated that sometimes sex can occur when someone is asleep.
The man in question was not convicted.
Question remains would it be rape or not? The judges felt it was not.
I think it would hang on ones defination or rape.

Ok Dharmendra, did not the court asked the lady in this way- if the man had sex in sleep, what she was doing at that moment? I mean if she was awaking then why not stopped it, or if she was sleeping, she enjoyed the unknown sex just like the boy. Both belong to the same catagory I think. What do you say?
